On July 1, the summer railway transportation season began, with Guiyang, one of the country's major summer retreat destinations, seeing a rapid increase in interest in its summer getaways.

Due to early high temperatures in North China, the summer travel season got an early start. Tourists from Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Shandong, Beijing, and other places have been increasingly visiting Guiyang to escape the heat.

According to statistics from Guiyang Railway Station, from June 20 to 25, the number of passengers arriving at the three major railway stations in Guiyang from the above-mentioned areas has been on the rise. Specifically, 446,000 passengers arrived at Guiyangbei Railway Station, 89,000 at Guiyangdong Railway Station, and 23,000 at Guiyang Railway Station.

Since mid-June, the overall number of tourists from Guangzhou, Xi'an, and other places to Guiyang has been steadily increasing. Due to heavy rain, the number of passengers arriving from places like Guangzhou has decreased slightly, but growth is expected to resume later.

Arrivals from Shanghai, Zhejiang, and other places have also been affected by heavy rainfall, but they are expected to increase once the heavy rain ends and the summer travel season begins.

Guiyang Railway Station forecasts that this summer, railway passengers will mainly consist of passengers visiting families or going on summer retreats. The number of tourists escaping the summer heat from places such as Sichuan and Guangdong is expected to remain high.

To cope with the boom in arriving passengers, the three major railway stations in Guiyang have proactively maintained equipment and facilities and provided consultation and guidance services. The Guiyang railway transportation section promotes tourist attractions and ethnic cultures on trains to enhance travel services during the journey.
