Recently, to thoroughly implement the nation's four requirements on food safety, the Qingzhen bureau of market supervision and administration has worked for stricter supervision over school food safety, ensuring the dining safety and health of all teachers and students in Qingzhen city, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The city's bureau of market supervision and administration, along with the bureaus of education, public security, and health, has jointly formulated and issued a plan for the special inspection and rectification of school food safety.
In line with the start of the spring semester, the bureau has conducted comprehensive inspections of schools and catering enterprises in order to effectively identify and address potential risks. As of now, over 30 colleges and universities, primary and secondary schools, and kindergartens have been inspected, and three food safety hazards have been identified and addressed.
The bureau has also provided guidance and information to each school on laws and regulations, and has taken proactive steps to achieve smart supervision via the internet. At present, all 335 school canteens and one centralized catering enterprise in the city are connected under this smart supervision system.
