In 2023, Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, expanded its aluminum processing industrial system. The city has initially established an industrial chain that involves bauxite mining, aluminum smelting, aluminum deep processing, and recycled aluminum.
In 2023, Qingzhen achieved a cumulative industrial output value of 31.5 billion yuan ($4.39 billion), and realized 7.62 billion yuan in added value, indicating a year-on-year increase of 9.2 percent. The city's industrial fixed asset investment came in at 4.01 billion yuan, up 52.5 percent.

In 2023, Qingzhen completed the construction of 11 standard factory projects, with a total building area of 1.06 million square meters. It also disbursed special funds totaling 29.36 million yuan to 73 enterprises. It organized for 19 enterprises to apply for provincial special funds, successfully obtaining 39.57 million yuan.
Over the same year, the city brought in 26 industrial projects with a total investment of 4.56 billion yuan.
The number of industrial enterprises above a designated size in the city increased to 117. There are seven enterprises with an output value exceeding 1 billion yuan, and four enterprises with an output value exceeding 2 billion yuan. Additionally, 10 enterprises were identified as provincial specialized and sophisticated enterprises.
