Qingzhen leverages vocational education resources

The Guizhou Vocational Education Public Training Center, based in Qingzhen city, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has become a popular field trip location for primary and secondary school students.

"We have learned a lot at the training center, and also experienced how amazing science and technology could be," said Zhou Yixuan, a student from Anliu Elementary School.

The management committee of Qingzhen Vocational Education City has fully utilized the educational resources of the training center, and has introduced professional teams to manage and provide services such as explanatory study tours. This has attracted batches of primary and secondary school students to visit and learn. The center's annual turnover in 2023 exceeded 3 million yuan ($417,900).

Against the backdrop of deepening industry-education-research integration, a number of municipal-level incubators (makerspaces) have been certified. Entrepreneurs can receive comprehensive services and support from these venues in terms of equipment, funds, and resources, which greatly reduce their burdens.

In 2023, the management committee of Qingzhen Vocational Education City, along with local colleges, conducted investment promotion activities in Zhuhai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Kunshan, Ningbo, and other places. These efforts resulted in the signing of three projects involving production-education integration and attracted new investments totaling 590 million yuan.
