Street concerts hailed by Qingzhen locals

A series of street concerts have been staged recently in Qingzhen city, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province. The concerts were free and accessible, proving popular among fun-seeking locals.

One of the concerts was performed on Oct 20. The familiar lyrics, charming melodies and lively rhythms attracted passersby, who sang together off-stage and danced to the music, alleviating the chill of the autumn night.

"We are college students here and the street concerts are a great way to unwind. Some of us even volunteered to sing on stage," said Wu Zhenli, who was with her classmates. She is one of the concert's biggest fans.
