Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has rolled out measures to encourage local college graduates to work and start businesses in Qingzhen.
The government has increased positions at public institutions and offered one-stop services for college graduates in terms of training, qualification approvals, and internship subsidies.
Since the beginning of this year, Qingzhen has recruited 112 public institution workers and 227 teachers for local primary and secondary schools and brought in 53 high-end talents. A total of 246,200 yuan ($34,295.66) in internship subsidies have been issued to 76 interns.
This year, Qingzhen has held 30 campus job fairs participated in by more than 900 enterprises, and provided over 25,000 positions. The government also held 11 online recruitment fairs, offering some 6,100 jobs.
So far, the city has distributed 26.6 million yuan in working and entrepreneurship subsidies to 17,732 people and has successfully retained 2,147 college graduates.
