During the National Day holiday and Mid-Autumn Festival, Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province received more than 690,000 tourists, a surge of 288.1 percent year-on-year, and generated 340 million yuan ($47.36 million) in tourist revenue, a whopping increase of 233.3 percent.

Capitalizing on abundant tourist attractions, such as the Red Maple Lake and Yachi River, the city has created three high-end travel routes for health maintenance, rural experiences and canyon adventures.

Local scenic spots rolled out a variety of activities, including bamboo pole dances, magic shows, hanfu wearing, archery, fish feeding, and poem reciting, which were lauded by tourists from around the country.
