Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, is building ecological grape plantations to increase farmers' incomes, exploring land transfer and leasing models, promoting diversified operational models, and guiding the development of characteristic agricultural industries.

Rural cooperatives have so far leased 0.93 hectares of land from farmers through land transfer and leasing, growing more than 600,000 yuan ($83,580) worth of grapes annually.

In addition, the government conducted training on planting techniques and hired villagers to participate in weeding, fertilizing, and other work, providing more than 30 job opportunities for nearby villagers.

The grapes' sales channels have also diversified, and consumers can order them on WeChat or buy them directly at stalls.
