Farmers' harvest festival celebrated in Qingzhen

The 2023 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival was celebrated on Sept 23 in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, with the main venue set in Qingzhen city.

A variety of celebratory performances were staged, followed by a recognition ceremony for new-type agriculture operators and demonstration villages participating in the "one village one product" program in Guiyang City and Guian New Area.

The celebration also featured a farming culture heritage experience activity and an exhibition of special local agricultural products.

This year, Qinghen has leveraged 22.59 million yuan ($3.15 million) in funds for grain production from the central, provincial and municipal governments, and has fulfilled the target for the crop planting area. The city is estimated to produce 9.74 metric tons of crops this year.
