The fourth plum shopping festival kicked off in Xindian town in Qingzhen city, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on June 28.
At the opening ceremony, Xindian town was granted the titles of "Guizhou Provincial Rural Vitalization Strategy Research Institute Practice Research Base", "Guizhou Provincial Rural Vitalization Strategy Think Tank Talent Base", "Guizhou Vocational College of Foodstuff Engineering Rural Vitalization Industry-Education Integration Base", and "Guiyang Radio and Television Station Rural Vitalization Practice Base".
Four enterprises also signed collaboration agreements with the town's government.
In order to raise its plums' quality and output, Xindian town has invited provincial-level experts to visit plum growers and help them tackle technical problems, and created a 15.3-hectare plum garden. The town is expected to reshape its "Yachi Lake Plums" brand in the next three to five years.
Through online livestreaming and plum tree purchasing, the town will help plum growers further expand their sales channels and enhance the plum brand's influence.
