At a rural cooperative of Xiniu village of Weicheng town, Qingzhen city, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, 17 agricultural machine operators have been cultivated. The cooperative has 24 machines, including harvesters, seeders, and drones.
By the end of December 2022, the cooperative had generated an avenue totaling 1.12 million yuan ($158,480), with the net profit standing at 420,000 yuan, and about 51 percent of the profit belongs to the village.
Since the past year, the town has implemented a unique economic model that involves a combination of the "village-owned economic organization" and various other economic entities. This model has provided the villagers with a wider range of opportunities to generate income. They can now explore options like selling their lands, finding employment in plantations, selling special agricultural products, and even investing in cooperatives. This approach has proven to be highly beneficial, as it has opened up new avenues for economic growth and prosperity in the community.
These channels have injected new impetus into the development of rural areas, setting an excellent example to other places in Qingzhen.
