Multiple business models facilitate tourism recovery

Statistics show that over the first quarter of this year, Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 2.13 million tourists, reporting a tourism revenue of 2.36 billion yuan ($342.2 million).

Qingzhen's accommodation sector registered 17.38 million yuan in sales, up 37.6 percent year-on-year. The expenditure for each tourist was 1,080.07 yuan on average, and the number of travelers staying overnight in the first quarter of 2023 increased to 287,400.

In March, the city organized a series of flower admiring, music and sports events. Sales campaigns for local cultural products were also launched to boost consumption.
