Qingzhen, a county-level city in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been working to advance the construction of a modern industrial system to contribute to the province's high-quality development, local media reported.

To this end, the city has worked out a time table, unveiled road maps, and gotten Party members and officials involved and focused on key industries that adapt to its resources and development conditions.

It prioritizes new-type industrialization, urbanization, agricultural modernization and the development of the tourism sector on the path toward high-quality growth.

Near the intersection of Qingzhen's Lucheng Avenue and Wuchang Expressway, Ximei Technology (Guiyang) Co Ltd has rented a 100,000-square-meter standard factory building and supporting facilities to boost development.

"In the future, this place will become the headquarters, high-end manufacturing center, research and development center and capital investment center of Ximei," said Wang Xiaojun, deputy manager of the company's general management department.

The company, a leading domestic enterprise with a complete industrial chain, is mainly engaged in the smelting and processing of tantalum and niobium products, which, as national strategic metals, are widely used in high-end electronics, aerospace, defense, military industry, optics, medical and other fields with a strong market prospect. The healthy investment environment, well-developed transportation, rich human resources, and strong government policy support are the main reasons for the company to choose Qingzhen.

In the agricultural sector, Qingzhen strives to boost the development of chicken farming and organic vegetables to help local farmers to increase their incomes.

In addition, it is also making efforts to leverage its many tourist attractions to promote the development of the local tourism and service industries.

Officials said that in 2023, Qingzhen will accelerate the construction of projects such as a land-sea international logistics port and create a commercial and service-oriented logistics hub based in Guiyang and Guian New Area.
