Qingzhen bureau of market regulation located in Qingzhen city, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a work session themed on the national civilized city selection on March 24.
Participating were officials from Qingzhen's bureau of commerce, the bureau of agriculture and rural affairs, the bureau of transportation and other interested government units. Problems in the local farm produce markets and restaurants were reported and analyzed.
Government officials were required to join efforts in their work, and farm produce market organizers were asked to enhance the accountability mechanism, and focus on the food safety, products' quality, and market order.
The Qingzhen bureau of market regulation was expected to crack down on food safety related issues.
Meanwhile, the city's bureau of commerce was expected to launch reform projects for farm produce markets, while the transportation and law enforcement bureaus were asked to crack down on unlicensed commercial vehicles and illegal parking behaviors in places near farmers markets.
