Anliu town in Qingzhen city, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has carried out effective measures to strengthen local garbage management.
A key performance indicator system has been established for 69 cleaners. In addition, village cadres have been required to guide garbage sorting work. So far, more than 50 instances of such guidance and 113 large-scale clean-ups have been carried out, and about 8.5 metric tons of rubbish has been collected.
Volunteers were mobilized to promote garbage sorting awareness through channels such as the WeChat video account and other online platforms, pamphlets, broadcasting, and electronic screens. Middle and primary schools were also asked to launch related campaigns to help students develop garbage sorting habits.
