City revamps efforts to celebrate talent month

Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has rolled out a series of activities and campaigns to celebrate the regional "talent month", according to local news reports on May 10.

In the following days, Qingzhen will carry out job fairs via the Professionals Convention of Guizhou, including launching online and on-site campus recruitment activities and initiating talent attraction campaigns at two colleges outside Qingzhen.

Government-college-enterprise cooperation will be enhanced, and college presidents in charge of graduates' employment will be invited on research trips to Qingzhen's key companies. Information sharing among the three parties will be strengthened.

In addition, an e-commerce livestreaming competition for college students will soon be held in the city in an effort to establish a platform for entrepreneurship practice and to discover students' business skills and marketing capabilities.

Subsidies for experts and college graduates will be issued as well, and the Qingzhen government will hold a special training session on talent recruitment strategies. It will also encourage all local firms to launch practical training courses to turn workers into technicians and turn farmers into industrial talent.
