New ecological research center established in Qingzhen

The unveiling ceremony for the Guiyang Branch of the CECEP Ecological Product Development and Research Center was held on Dec 31 last year in the city of Qingzhen in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The Qingzhen government signed a strategic cooperation contract with the CECEP Ecological Product Development and Research Center. The two sides vowed to strive for mutual benefit, respect and development, and decided to establish partnerships in environmental protection consultation and planning, financing and investment of major projects, solid waste processing, and the establishment of energy-efficient industrial parks.

Huo Zhonghe, president of the center, expressed gratitude for the Qingzhen government's support, and said that the Guiyang branch will enjoy the center's industry relocation capacity as a green think tank owned by the central government.

The branch is expected to help realize Qingzhen's goal of making its industry greener, more high-end and intensive, and build Qingzhen into a successful example of Beautiful China.
