As a high-standard vegetable supply base in Guiyang, Qingzhen's Luojiaqiao vegetable supply base has made efforts to promote the fusion of agriculture and modern technology.
The altitude, temperature, precipitation, and soil of a place determine which types of vegetables can be planted there. The right conditions ensure the production, quality, and economic benefits of the vegetables, said He Hongyan, an official in charge of the base.
In order to choose the most suitable vegetables, villagers set up eight trial greenhouses, experimented with more than 700 types of vegetables, and finally decided on around 300 types for standardized production on a large scale.
In addition, the base has also introduced an intelligent information system that can precisely record the moisture and temperature of the air and soil, the density of carbon dioxide, and the intensity of sunlight within the greenhouse.
All technicians need to do is press some buttons on the corresponding application to monitor what is happening inside these greenhouses remotely.
