Public commitment campaign to create safe shopping environment

Since the beginning of this year, Qingzhen's market regulation bureau, commerce bureau, and culture and tourism bureau have coordinated efforts to initiate a public commitment campaign among market entities to improve the local consumption environment, boost consumer confidence about what they purchase, and stimulate consumption potential.

Market entities in the campaign pledged to abide by national and provincial consumer right protection laws, strengthen self-discipline, and take measures to negotiate with customers if shopping disputes occur.

The campaign was designed to make business operators fulfill their responsibilities, enhance social credibility, and raise consumer shopping satisfaction levels.

Officials from the market regulation bureau have played an important role in instructing market entities to take seriously public commitment and guiding them to improve the quality of their products and services and accept supervision from customers and the government.

To date, a total of 4,600 market entities have participated in the campaign.
