The rural revitalization meeting opened in Qingzhen, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province on Aug 10.
Fu Tao, Party secretary of Qingzhen, has urged government officials to develop special industries, promote the integration of agricultural sectors, raise the fine and deep processing levels of agricultural products, broaden sales channels, and revitalize rural areas by prioritizing agricultural sectors.
He also stressed the need to make local agriculture more efficient and qualified, intensify the protection and utilization of farmlands, strengthen agricultural technologies and equipment, explore approaches that allow collaboration among enterprises, universities and research institutes, and develop a variety of operation models in order to achieve the high-quality development of agriculture.
In addition, integrated development between urban and rural areas was also emphasized in the meeting, by building more rural public infrastructure and raising the quality of basic public services in rural areas in order to boost villagers' sense of gain, security, and happiness.
