Ni Zhijun, head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Qingzhen Committee, led a group consisting of representatives of 11 enterprises to Anliu town, Qingzhen, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on June 1.
The group first visited the town's Shatian Primary School where they donated grains, oil, backpacks and other supplies to students and impoverished residents. The donation was worth 160,000 yuan ($24,000).
Donators reportedly voiced their hope that all the school faculties steadfastly remember their responsibilities and obligations as educators, and strive hard to enhance their teaching abilities, in order to make contributions to Qingzhen's education.
Students were expected to appreciate the help and care granted to them, and study hard to achieve higher grades.
