Qingzhen recently announced a 46.13 million yuan ($6.92 million) investment in high-standard farmland, funding which seeks to help the local government achieve high-quality development, and which is also one of its ten agenda items aimed at raising the living standards of local people.
Of the investment, 28.04 million yuan of the investment comes from the central government, and the rest of it is supplied by the provincial government.
The project covers 17 areas in seven towns, including Wangzhuang, Xindian and Weicheng, and includes the building of water storage reservoirs, pipeline installations, and pumping station renovations.
The construction work is set to be finished by June. The government has rolled out measures to ensure construction quality. For example, the project contractor is not allowed to subcontract the work to other firms, or to hold back payments for migrant workers.
All sides involved in the project are urged to join forces, share data and strengthen exchanges to maximize work efficiency.
