A total of 44 enterprises above a designated scale --  those with annual revenue of more than 20 million yuan ($3.07 million) – in Qingzhen Economic Development Area in Qingzhen, a county-level city in Southwest China's Guizhou province, have achieved an industrial output value of 2.4 billion yuan by the end of early March.

The investment of eight major programs has reached 106 million yuan, accounting for 5.3 percent of the annual goal.

The exciting news from the first quarter of 2021 has been the response to the government's call for "stable stock, increased outputs and upgraded quality".

Since the beginning of the year and particularly after the Spring Festival holiday, which was overshadowed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the development area has actively helped enterprises resume work and production. Security checks and disinfection work were done in an orderly and careful way according to the government's instructions.

Various approaches have been explored to bring more business and investment into Qingzhen. Firms that provide deep- or intensive-processed products in Chongqing municipality, Chengdu, Shandong province, Guangdong province and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region are being targeted as potential partners for local businesses.
