The sixth session of the sixth Qingzhen People's Congress opened in Qingzhen, a county-level city in Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Jan 19, with 179 deputies in attendance.
The congress released the local government's 2021 work report. The report included a review of work in 2020 and during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), the overall development outline and key tasks during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) and the long-term objectives for 2035. The document also covered the government work arrangements for 2021.

Mayor Wang Mingming said that Qingzhen has fully completed all tasks for 2020.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Qingzhen will promote industrial upgrading, rural revitalization, environmental protection, industry-education integration, reform and opening-up, joint construction, innovation and the improvement of people's livelihoods. The ultimate goal is to promote Qingzhen's high-quality development.
The congress also voted and passed the draft election method for the sixth session of the sixth People's Congress of Qingzhen city.
