The county-level city of Qingzhen in Southwest China's Guizhou province launched a voluntary service project for the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage on Dec 19.
The project is co-sponsored by Publicity Department of the CPC Qingzhen Committee, Qingzhen bureau of culture, sports, radio, television and tourism, and Guizhou Qianli Cultural Tourism Industry Development Co.
It aims to popularize and pass on intangible cultural heritage skills, increase residents' happiness and satisfy locals' cultural and spiritual needs.
The voluntary service project targets people aged 4 to 70 and invites expert volunteers to carry out lessons on pottery, batik, embroidery and printmaking every Sunday. Tea art experiences are also included in the program.
Interested individuals can dial 0851—82588566 before Friday each week to make an appointment for the intangible cultural heritage education experiences.
