A bag and suitcase supply chain project was recently completed and started operation in Qingzhen, a county-level city in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The new project is owned and operated by Zhejiang Jiaxing Tiantian Bags Co, which invested 10 million yuan ($1.49 million) in the project.
After ramping up to full production, the project will produce 750,000 mid-to-high-end aluminum trolley cases, aluminum-framed luggage and other luggage products per year.
It will achieve an annual output value of 150 million yuan and generate tax revenue of 7.5 million yuan, as well as provide more than 300 jobs.
In 2019, Qingzhen established an aluminum luggage production base, relying on its own resources and location advantages.
The base covers an area of about 2,261 mu (150.73 hectares) and cost 4.5 billion yuan.
It is projected to attract more than 260 enterprises in the next 10 years, including 110 manufacturers and 150 support companies. These will generate an estimated annual industrial output value of about 10 billion yuan, a commercial output value of about 9.5 billion yuan and pay about 600 million yuan in taxes each year.
