Rich resources

Water resources:

The combined water area in Qingzhen covers 96 square kilometers, with an accumulated water storage capacity of 2.85 billion cubic meters.

Electric power resources:

There are three existing power plants: Tangzhai, Dongfeng and Hongfeng. They combine water power generation and thermal power generation, with a gross installed capacity of 3.2 million kilowatts.

Gas resources:

Both the China-Myanmar Natural Gas Pipeline and the Zhongwei-Guiyang Natural Gas Tie Line of the Second Pipeline of West-to-East Transmission Project in Qingzhen are provided with stations, with a daily gas supply capacity of 1 million cubic meters.

Mineral resources:

Over 30 kinds of major mineral deposits have been discovered. The proved reserves of bauxite resources in the city total 339 million tons, while the prospective reserves are estimated at more than 500 million tons, accounting for more than 60% of the total in Guizhou province, as well as 10.5% across the country. The quality of ore is excellent, and the ratio of aluminum to silicon is above 7 on average, so it is the most abundant area of bauxite reserves in southern China. Now, the proved reserves of coal top 1.68 billion tons, with prospective reserves of 4.1 billion tons, so it is an important coal-rich area in Guiyang.
