Baking Pan Food Festival hosted in Qingzhen

On August 10, Qingzhen of Guizhou Province launches the Baking Pan Food Festival, a nine-day event for food lovers in the city.

On the day of opening, the organizing committee gave awards to selected merchants, outstanding service providers and top sellers participating in the event. A performance was also held. The event attracted popular local celebrities and thousands of foodies from Qingzhen and neighboring areas with local specialty baking pan dishes and ice powder.

The festival will end on the 18th of August. Various activities, such as food tasting, band performance, boxing game and a beer drinking challenge, will be offered.

Qingzhen started a night-market neighborhood renovation project in 2018. It took the city over a year to complete the project on renovating 110 vendor stands doing business in the Tianshui Snack Street, Zhonghuan Global, and Beimen Bridge, and removing 72 river-side stands in Zhonghuan Global. The festival is hosted at one of the designated locations for renovated night markets. It is expected to attract many more food-lovers to taste great local foods in a clean and orderly business environment.
