Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is strengthening its industrial base by developing clusters for new energy vehicles, electronic information manufacturing, and eco-friendly food production.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the district accelerated the development of its industrial chains, attracting leading enterprises and expanding supporting industries. By the end of the period, total industrial output of enterprises above designated size in the district exceeded 41 billion yuan ($6.15 billion), 3.5 times the figure at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20).

In the new energy vehicle sector, Geely Auto has driven the development of a local supply chain comprising 36 auto parts suppliers. It produced more than 260,000 vehicles during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, with vehicles manufactured in Guanshanhu reaching overseas markets.

The district is also expanding its electronic information manufacturing sector, led by Zhong'an Technology Co, with a focus on smart terminals, precision manufacturing, and digital supporting industries.

In the eco-friendly food sector, leading companies such as Haocaidou and Panpan are helping strengthen the industrial chain through the development of the Jinli Specialty Food Industrial Park, which integrates food processing, warehousing, logistics, and brand marketing.

So far, Guanshanhu has attracted 131 enterprises along its industrial chains and cultivated 47 new above-designated-size industrial enterprises, bringing the total number to 75.
