A project from Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, won third prize in the "Industry Development + Entrepreneurship" category at the national finals of the 2026 Entrepreneurship Competition (Chuangying Weilai).
The award-winning project, "R&D and industrial upgrading of high-temperature ceramicized cable materials", was developed by Guiyang Zhong An Technology Group's metal wire drawing company and is one of only three projects from Guizhou province to receive a national-level award.
It also marked Guanshanhu's first national award in the competition's "Industry Development + Entrepreneurship" category.
Through advanced material modification and composite manufacturing techniques, the company has developed high-performance fire-resistant materials. These materials enhance heat resistance and flame retardancy, tackling technical challenges of traditional cable materials and bridging the gap in China's high-end fire-resistant cable technology.
In recent years, Guanshanhu has stepped up support for entrepreneurship and innovation, fostering an environment that encourages startups and technology commercialization while creating new growth opportunities.
Local authorities said they will continue to provide policy support and follow-up services for high-quality innovation projects, promote the commercialization of technological achievements, and support high-quality economic development.
