The first Guanshanhu Cup Job Fair Competition semi-final was held from Nov 2 to 3 in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Since its launch in September this year, the competition has been highly favored by young people, especially college and university graduates, due to its innovative format. It has attracted over 2,000 applicants.
After resume screening and the preliminary round, 80 participants from both the workplace and campus categories advanced to the semi-final.
The semi-final implemented a "competing for the same position" mechanism, encouraging participants to explore their professional abilities.
The competition featured several workplace mentors and organized tasks such as team formation through drawing lots, developing plans (creating product proposals), and practical exercises (team-based product exhibitions). HR professionals and executives from various companies were invited to provide on-site evaluations and feedback through methods like workplace observations.
Additionally, the event included public employment service areas such as a policy consultation desk, a resume analysis area, and an employment information hub. These areas offered policy brochures, career guidance counselors, and job boards and provided convenient employment services to the public.
After two days of intense competition, 28 participants advanced to the final round of the competition.
