2024 Guiyang International Tennis Open to take place in Guanshanhu

According to a news conference on Sept 3, the 2024 Guiyang International Tennis Open is scheduled to take place from Sept 8-22 in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The event will span 15 days and feature four categories: women's singles, women's doubles, men's singles, and men's doubles. The women's matches will run from Sept 8 to 15, followed by the men's matches from Sept 15 to 22.

A total of 214 professional players from 40 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Germany, Australia, and France, have registered to participate in the competition.

In addition to the intense on-court competition and crowning moments of glory, the organizers will also conduct a series of meaningful activities such as "tennis into schools", "tennis into communities", and "tennis cultural tours" to spread the spirit and values of tennis to a wider audience.

During the tournament, renowned players will transform into coaches and mentors, engaging with students and locals. By encouraging them to get involved in tennis, they will foster a love and aspiration for the sport and promote the development of national fitness initiatives.
