Pockets parks enhance people's livelihoods in Guanshanhu

Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has focused on enhancing quality of life, ensuring care for the elderly, and building supporting facilities to improve people's livelihoods.

Projects such as the renovation of water supply facilities in Jiancai community, the construction of the Yunshan sub-district elderly care center, the establishment of supporting facilities for the Jinmai community fresh supermarket, and the completion of pocket parks, have garnered widespread praise from the public.

Among the 10 practical matters related to improving people's livelihoods in Guanshanhu this year, four pocket parks have been completed and opened to the public.

In addition to Xiuqiu Park, which features 18 varieties of hydrangeas and integrates scientific activities and floral culture displays while harmonizing with the natural terrain, there is also Yutang Park, Meimei Park, and Muguang Forest Park.

Yutang Park, dominated by magnolias and crabapples and located at the intersection of Yuntan South Road and Xingzhu West Road, offers a serene escape amid the bustling city. Illuminated at night, with a cool breeze, it is a popular spot for residents to relax and cool off.

Meimei Park's beauty lies in its winding paths, clever use of visual barriers, and diverse landscaping techniques, providing visitors with a rich and varied park experience.

Muguang Forest Park, meanwhile, boasts a unique landscape with winding paths through forested flowers, plants, and micro-terrain gardens.
