Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been deepening reforms and innovations, focusing on concrete actions to create a more convenient, efficient, fair, and transparent business environment.
These efforts have provided strong support for the development of the private economy.
In 2023, the private economy in Guanshanhu accounted for 52.5 percent of the district's GDP and 50.33 percent of its tax revenue.
The number of industrial enterprises above a designated size – those with annual output value of 20 million yuan ($2.75 million) or more – in the district exceeded 50, with an output value surpassing 22 billion yuan.
Last year, Guanshanhu made significant progress in streamlining government services, with over 1,200 issues related to land use, electricity supply, and funding applications for enterprises resolved, and over 2 billion yuan in industrial support funds disbursed.
The district also attracted 40 high-quality enterprises and 176 key industrial projects, including 172 private investment projects.
In the first quarter of this year, the district saw an influx of 1.52 billion yuan in industrial funds and 622 million yuan in industrial investment.
In April of this year, Guanshanhu held a conference on the high-quality development of the private economy and the optimization of the business environment.
Attendees at the conference emphasized the need to further strengthen the promotion of various policies supporting enterprises, such as tax cuts and fee reductions, ensuring that private enterprises benefit from such policies.
