The Guanshanhu branch bureau of the Guiyang municipal bureau of ecology and environment and the Tianhe branch bureau of the Guangzhou municipal ecological environment bureau signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on May 22.
Taking this collaboration as an opportunity, Guanshanhu district and Tianhe district aim to learn from each other in ecological civilization construction and explore new initiatives in the "ecology + culture and tourism" sector.
According to the agreement, the two sides will engage in deep cooperation in areas such as ecological environment governance, ecological environment law enforcement and supervision, and green and low-carbon initiatives.
The two bureaus have planned ecological study routes highlighting the unique natural resources and ecological advantages of each side. These routes will combine the cultural and tourism resources of both regions, targeting young people based around ecological themes.
Specific activities include the launch of three ecological study routes in Guiyang and Guangzhou, featuring waterfalls, caves, paleontology, oceans, tropical flora and fauna, and historical and cultural sites.
On the day, both regions exchanged representative local plant species and organized exhibitions about biodiversity.
Guanshanhu also conducted a city promotion activity targeting Guangzhou's cultural and tourism enterprises, as well as selected media outlets, recommending high-quality local tourism resources, cultural characteristics, and a variety of cuisines, extending a sincere invitation to the citizens of Guangzhou to explore and enjoy the beauty of Guanshanhu.
