Starting from the second quarter of 2024, Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will promote its culture tourism brand with flower viewing activities and summer vacation scenarios, according to a conference on March 26.
The district plans to host large-scale concerts, music festivals, and other major performance events to further invigorate the regional commercial performance market.
In April, a square dance competition will be held in Gaozhai village of Zhuchang town, to promote the improvement of rural living environments.
Efforts will also be directed toward promoting the coordinated development of tourism and related industries, including travel, accommodation, dining, sightseeing, shopping, entertainment, and services.
Focusing on promoting summer tourism campaigns targeted at "furnace-like" cities such as Changsha, Guanshanhu strives to enhance the reputation and appeal of the district as a summer retreat destination.
Emphasis will also be placed to improve sports facilities and accelerate the construction of sports facilities for public convenience.
The district will work on strengthening its national fitness network, aiming to increase the total number of full-time and part-time social sports instructors to 2,000 during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) period, with a ratio of more than four social sports instructors per 1,000 people.
Meanwhile, various levels and types of sports events will be held in the district, including the Guiyang Marathon and the ITF Guiyang Open.
