The Guanshanhu Modern Service Industry Pilot Zone in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently held a work promotion conference, outlining plans for economic development in 2024.

In 2024, the planned growth for the pilot zone's added value in the modern service industry is around 6 percent, with an estimated total value exceeding 70.5 billion yuan ($9.8 billion).

The added value in the financial industry is striving to reach 20 billion yuan, while the revenue of the zone's commercial and trade logistics industry park is aiming to achieve 40 billion yuan. The comprehensive economic benefits of the exhibition industry are expected to exceed 28 billion yuan.

Meanwhile, the pilot zone is projected to sign around 20 projects through its investment attraction work, with a total contract value of approximately 1 billion yuan, and an estimated 750 million yuan in place for industrial projects.

To achieve these targets, the pilot zone will focus on institutional and mechanism reforms, as well as innovations in technology, business formats, and transformation and upgrade pathways.

By leveraging existing industrial funds, the pilot zone will strengthen cooperation with high-quality fund enterprises. It will also engage in exhibition investment attraction activities through events such as the Big Data Expo and the Eco Forum Global Guiyang.

Furthermore, it will utilize industry leaders, commercial associations, and other resources to facilitate investment attraction initiatives.
