Guanshanhu achieves high-quality development in 2023

Guanshanhu district in Guiyang city achieved high-quality economic and social development in 2023.

Last year, the district's GDP surpassed 80 billion yuan ($10.96 billion), growing at a rate of 5.5 percent, while retail sales of consumer goods above the designated size grew by 12.5 percent, ranking first in terms of growth rate citywide.

It also made significant progress in advancing new industrialization, with 34 new industrial projects introduced and 12 completed and put into operation.

Industrial investment in the district totaled 2.4 billion yuan, growing by 5.3 percent.

Meanwhile, seven technologically-advanced enterprises were nurtured, and 20 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises were established, with the number of large-scale industrial enterprises surpassing 50.

Additionally, the district's general public budget revenue reached 5.66 billion yuan, marking a 9.6-percent increase and maintaining the top position in the city for the ninth consecutive year.

Guanshanhu was selected among the "Top 100 Districts with Comprehensive Competitiveness in Western China" and "Top 100 Districts with Competitive Cultural Industries in China."

Its practices in building a modern urban area that is livable, business-friendly, and tourism-friendly have been recognized and promoted nationwide.
