New community senior service station in Guanshanhu begins operating

The Jinfeng Community Senior Service Station in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, began operating on Oct 23.

Covering an area of about 200 square meters, the service station offers a senior activity room, housekeeping assistance, home visits, elderly care consultations, senior assessments, senior canteens, hairdressing services, health monitoring and management services, chronic disease management services, and senior-friendly renovations.

The service station serves more than 2,000 residents of the Jinheng and Jinfeng communities, offering elderly care, cultural and recreational activities, health management, emotional support, emergency assistance, and smart aging solutions.

The opening ceremony took place on the day of the Double Ninth Festival, and a number of elderly gathered at the entrance of the service station. The activities for the day included an opening ceremony, cultural performances, and free medical consultations, providing a colorful and engaging experience.

Guanshanhu is currently home to three senior service centers and 54 community senior service stations, providing assistance and care to the elderly.
