The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Guizhou Jinli Special Food Industrial Park was held in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Sept 8.
The park is being developed by Guizhou Jinli Industrial Development Co, a subsidiary of Guiyang Industrial Investment Co.
The park, with a total investment of 675 million yuan ($92.33 million) and a planned construction area of 185 mu (12.33 hectares), will focus on the electronic information manufacturing and ecological specialty food industries.
It is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of next year and will directly create about 800 jobs and contribute approximately 38 million yuan in tax revenue.
It will also indirectly drive the development of related industries such as agriculture, animal husbandry, transportation, and other service industries, making it a major driver of the ecological specialty food industry in Guanshanhu.
