1st 'exhibition +' industry alliance set up in Guanshanhu

The "Exhibition +" Industry Alliance was established in Guanshanhu district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 2, the first such organization in the province.

The alliance was established to further promote the integration of the exhibition, tourism, catering, accommodation, commerce and logistics sectors by providing a platform and integrating resources through major exhibition activities.

The goal is to continuously expand the achievements of the exhibition industry and further enhance the value-added and multiplier effects of the industry, said Jiang Kang, deputy director of the management committee of the Guanshanhu Modern Service Industry Pilot Zone.

The alliance was jointly initiated by exhibition groups and related industry organizations. It has already recruited 22 members as a preliminary move, including exhibition, accommodation, catering, tourism, commerce, and other enterprises related to exhibition activities.

With exhibitions as a focal point, the alliance will stimulate the development of the accommodation, tourism, catering, and trade industries. It will also further enhance the branding, professionalism, and internationalization of exhibitions, strengthen the comprehensive service capabilities of the district, and continue to build Guizhou into a financial exhibition service industry cluster area.

"By building this platform, we will create a synergistic development ecosystem of 'exhibition +', forming a new scene and model of exhibition industry development with smooth connections between upstream, midstream and downstream industries," said Li Bo, deputy general manager of the Guizhou International Conference and Exhibition Center Co.

The company will actively promote industrial collaboration, integrate the exhibition industry with the service industry, regional advantageous industries, emerging industries, and specialty industries, Li said.

At the same time, it will make use of its own resource advantages and promote resource and information sharing and business exchanges and cooperation among members of the alliance and between the alliance and the exhibition industry. The goal is to help its members expand new businesses, products, and services, and new technologies that meet the demands of the exhibition market, Li added.
