Guanshanhu further promotes ecological civilization construction

In recent years, Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has striven to create a beautiful environment as the foundation for high-quality economic development and achieving new results in ecological civilization construction.

The data shows that the district's air quality has significantly improved from 2013 to 2022, with the proportion of excellent air quality increasing from 80 percent to 100 percent. Moreover, compliance with water environment quality also saw a remarkable improvement, rising from less than 50 percent to 100 percent during the same period.

In the past year, Guanshanhu made notable progress in promoting urban greenery, adding 210,000 square meters of green spaces and constructing seven themed parks.

By 2022, all four rural domestic sewage treatment projects were completed, and the district achieved a 100 percent coverage rate of rural domestic sewage treatment in administrative villages.

In addition, forest nurturing measures were implemented on 1,000 mu (66.7 hectares) of land resulting in a forest coverage rate of 45.76 percent.

The district has been awarded the national ecological civilization construction demonstration area, and the practice innovation base of the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets."
