A unique job fair dedicated to the Southwest Trade and Logistics Park in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was held in the city's Guanshanhu district on June 20.
The local government organized the recruitment event aimed to provide a platform for employers and graduates from local universities to meet their demands, expanding job channels for the graduates, local media reported.
The event also aimed to strengthen companies' workforce by recruiting professionals, promoting business development, and ensuring solid progress in the "Build up Talents, Strengthen the Provincial Capital" campaign.
The job fair showcased various job opportunities in healthcare, sales, and services. Participating companies set up booths to display their profiles and available positions.
University graduates approached the booths to gather information about the companies and the requirements for employment, submitting their resumes to their preferred employers.
"I am interested in positions such as clerical or administrative work. If a company offers a stable job and room for growth, I would consider it," said Yang You, a graduate of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
"We have two booths at the fair, offering over 200 positions in cable sales, administrative management, and research and development. After the fair, we expect to review all the resumes and proceed with interviews and other necessary steps based on the requirements of the positions," said Zhou Xinyi, deputy general manager of Zhong An Technology Group.
The event consisted of an opening ceremony and on-site recruitment activities, with nearly 100 employers participating from State-owned enterprises, institutions, and well-known private companies, providing over 1,700 job positions.
