A folk cultural activity was held in Baishi Miao stockade village, Wengjing village in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 22, to celebrate the traditional Sanyuesan Festival.

Sanyuesan, which refers to the third day of the third month in the Chinese lunar calendar, is a traditional festival for the Miao ethnic group.
The celebrations staged in Baishi Miao stockade village this year included folk singing, dancing, and a fiesta featuring ethnic food.

Baishi Miao stockade village is a rare branch of the Miao ethnic group found in Wengjing village of Guanshanhu. Every year during the Sanyuesan Festival, they organize long table banquets, bonfire parties and other activities to pray for good weather and peace for the country and its people in the coming year.
With the development of the economy, trade-in Miao costumes and commodities has been promoted in Baishi Miao stockade village, which not only promotes tourism and cultural exchange, but also stimulates the potential of cultural and tourism consumption and further increases the village's popularity.
