Guanshanhu Modern Service Industry Pilot Zone in Guanshanhu district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is the first pilot zone centered on the development of the service industry and has accelerated the construction of a modern service industrial system led by modern finance, exhibition, logistics, cultural tourism, digital economy, and headquarters economy.
In 2022, the leading industries in the pilot zone achieved an added value of 63.57 billion yuan ($6.4 billion) in the service industry, a year-on-year increase of 2.6 percent, while the service industry accounted for the largest share of economic growth of the district.
There were 487 large-scale enterprises engaged in the services industry in the pilot zone by the end of 2022, accounting for over 80 percent of enterprises with a yearly turnover of 20 million yuan in the district.
At present, the pilot zone is striving to overcome obstacles that hinder the development of the service industry by improving mechanisms, strengthening investment promotion and optimizing the business environment.
Guizhou Guanshanhu Fund Town, as the first fund town in Guizhou province and the only characteristic financial service town in the province, plays an important role in regional economic development and empowering the real economy in Guiyang and Guian New Area.
To date, 34 fund enterprises have set up operations in the fund town, with a fund subscription scale exceeding 100 billion yuan.
In order to further promote the development of the logistics industry in Southwestern China, the pilot zone has established a dedicated team for optimizing and upgrading the layout of a commercial city, accelerated the formulation of industrial development plans, and boosted the cultivation of market entities, customer source diversification, investment promotion and project construction.
