Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has strengthened targeted assistance and special services to boost employment services for college and university graduates.
The district has developed employment trainee positions and encouraged various enterprises in the district to identify as employment trainee units, in order to provide trainee positions for graduates and other groups.
So far, a total of 55 employment trainee units and bases have been identified, and 408 employment trainee positions have been developed.
Various public service activities have been carried out, including policy presentations, employment guidance, simulated job-hunting activities, and job fairs, to help graduates find work.
Relying on the Guiyang Human Resources Service Industrial Park, high-quality enterprises in Guanshanhu have been invited to promote jobs on a large scale, building a bridge between supply and demand for various enterprises and job-seekers.
Also, Guanshanhu has cooperated with colleges and universities in the district to carry out entrepreneurship guidance lectures, sharing of employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, and entrepreneurship training.
More than 8 million yuan ($1.17 million) in job-hunting and entrepreneurship subsidies have been issued to the 2023 graduates, helping 5,435 graduates strengthen their employment confidence and successfully find jobs or start businesses.
