The maternal and child health hospital of Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, opened a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) fever clinic on Dec 26 to provide patients with TCM diagnosis and treatment services.
That day, more than 30 patients received treatment, mainly pregnant women and infants.
TCM can prescribe "one prescription per person" according to differences in constitution, relieving symptoms and shortening the course of disease.
In addition to prescribing TCM decoctions, the fever clinic can also provide infantile massage, medicinal baths, acupuncture and other treatments to meet the varied medical needs of patients.
