Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has taken various measures to optimize its business environment since the beginning of this year, according to a recently-released work report.
By October, Guiyang's 1.32 million companies and individuals enjoyed 15.66 billion yuan ($2.25 billion) in tax refunds and exemptions this year. Government officials had also contacted and helped 2,885 companies solve 324 problems.
Guiyang has simplified company registration procedures so that it can be done online with only one form and then approved within one workday.
Guiyang has also launched policies and measures to improve talent services. So far, it has issued 14.34 million yuan in subsidies to 71 companies and 4,774 individuals.
Currently, 79.6 percent of government services are available online, 99 percent of applications need only be submitted once, and cross-border commerce is becoming more convenient. The customs clearance times for import and export goods are 9.62 hours and 0.56 hours, respectively.
