Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has recently put into use some high-altitude observation monitoring equipment.
The equipment offers 24-hour real-time monitoring, calculation and calibration of the fire point position and map coordinate information display within the monitoring area, reducing the impact on the atmospheric environment
Since October, Guanshanhu has detected and dealt with 15 open burning problems through the equipment.
In recent years, in order to improve the ambient air quality in the district, Guanshanhu has constructed micro-sites and is making use of portable monitoring, navigation monitoring, and drones.
In order to improve the dispatch mechanism and assessment mechanism, scientific and technological means have been used to assist in the prevention and control of air pollution in Guanshanhu.
From January to September 2022, the excellent or good rate of ambient air quality in Guanshan was 100 percent, and the comprehensive index of ambient air quality was 2.21, marking an improvement in the district's air quality.
Moving forward, the Guanshanhu district branch of the Guiyang municipal bureau of ecology and environment plans to increase the efficiency of supervision, improve air quality, and focus on green development.
