Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is making efforts to develop the Guiyang Southwest International Trade City into the most influential trade logistics service industry hub in Guizhou.
The trade city started operating in June 2014. With an area of about 2.8 million square meters, it is mainly engaged in clothing, daily necessities, home building materials, hardware and electrical machinery.

It is a comprehensive commercial and trade market with relatively concentrated commodities and a large sales volume.
This year, Guiyang and Guanshanhu will improve the core competitiveness of the trade city in five aspects.
By 2022 the trade city hopes to bring in 2,280 new merchants and achieve 20 billion yuan ($2.96 billion) in operating income.
From this year until 2025, 12 supporting facility construction projects are planned for launch in the trade city and surrounding areas, including the improvement of infrastructure facilities and the construction of service platforms.
Public transportation in the trade city will be optimized as well. Three bus lines have been adjusted, with four new bus stops added and nearly 200 shared electric vehicles put into use.
In addition, market entities will be cultivated, including those involved in livestreaming.
